Corvis Africa Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account on Tazamia, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of a retail business, you warrant that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Platform Availability & Disclaimers

Service Level: We aim for 99.5% uptime on cloud backend services. However, Corvis Africa is not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party outages (e.g., Safaricom M-Pesa API downtime, Render hosting outages, or local ISP disruptions).

POS Accounting Disclaimer: Tazamia provides automated point-of-sale calculations and AI inventory insights. Merchants remain strictly responsible for reconciling physical cash drawers, managing stock counts, and verifying final tax calculations.

3. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds

Billing: Platform access is provided on a subscription basis. Payment fees are collected via M-Pesa STK Push.

Failed Transactions: If an M-Pesa STK push fails or times out, account access may be restricted until payment clears.

Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle commences, except where required by law.

4. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the platform source code.
  • Use Tazamia to record fraudulent, illegal, or illicit sales activities in Kenya.
  • Attempt to bypass Supabase authentication tokens, Row-Level Security policies, or system access controls.

5. Intellectual Property

All platform software code, user interface designs, logos, and AI processing workflows are the exclusive intellectual property of Corvis Africa. Merchants retain full ownership of their individual store sales data and inventory logs.

6. Limitation of Liability & Edge Cases

Data Loss: Corvis Africa is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from business interruption, lost profits, or hardware failure at the merchant's store location.

Off-line / Network Failures: Sales initiated during local device offline states are queued locally; Corvis Africa is not responsible for unsynced transactions lost due to cleared browser storage before reconnection.

Maximum Liability: Corvis Africa's total liability for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by the merchant in the preceding 3 months.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be subject to good-faith mediation before escalation to the courts of Kenya.
